PISTE FACTS: Longest Run: 5km

                     Total: 400km (Milky Way)

Sestriere is a high altitude (2035m), purpose built resort in the Milky Way area of Italy. This area as a whole offers over 400km of pisted runs, meaning there really is something for everyone. Sestriere is the highest resort in the area and the most snowsure.

On piste, there is everything from gentle beginner runs to the steep blacks used for the downhill skiing in the Torino Winter Olympics of 2006. There is also very good off piste in Sestriere, as well as a terrain park. Good snowmaking facilities mean the snow conditions here will be good right through the season.

Apres ski

The apres ski scene is a bit more relaxed than the lively neighbour - Sauze d'Oulx - but there was a lot of investment before the Winter Olympics, meaning there are a lot of modern amenities. There is a sports complex, ice rink, husky dog rides and most importantly, the Olympic Bobsleigh run. Take this once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a run on the 1435m long track at speeds of up to 135km an hour!!
