PISTE FACTS: Longest Run:7km

                     Total: 200km

This is a superb resort which, along with neighbouring Hinterglemm, offers over 200km of pisted terrain to explore. You really will struggle to cover all the runs you want to in a week long trip - which is just a good excuse to stay longer or go back next year!!

There are plenty of beginner slopes, and a nursery area next to the main street making this a good resort to learn the basics. Once you have mastered linking those turns, there are tons of red and blue runs to cruise all day long. Lots of long runs with few drag lifts mean this is an intermediate snowboarders paradise.  Off piste, there is some excellent powder to be found. In terms of freestyle, there is a snowboard park and 2 half pipes making this a brilliant all round resort. You will not be disappointed if you choose this area for your trip, no matter what ability of rider you are.

Apres Ski

Saalbach has an attractive, traditional village centre which has a great apres ski atmosphere. This is a lively resort where the party starts straight off the slopes for many, and continues late into the night in the many bars and clubs. Off the slopes, there is plenty to do as well: ice skating, tobogganing, a swimming pool and for the petrol heads - ice karting (think go-karting on ice!!)
