Pamporovo is set in the Rhodope Mountains and is one of the sunniest resorts in Europe. This resort is aimed at beginners and offers good quality accomodation at very affordable prices.

The resort offers a lot of tuition aimed at beginners learning their toe edge from their heel edge, and how to link their first turns. There is a dedicated snowboard lesson area which offers a wide open area to practice. The restaurant at the botton also does great pizza's!! Once you have picked up the basics, there are a number of blue runs but unfortunately a lot of them are quite narrow.

There is not much to keep intermediate and advanced riders occupied. There are 4 or 5 red runs but no freestyle park or half pipe.

Overall, a great resort for those going on their first snowboard holiday. Good lesson set up. Not brilliant for intermediate or advanced riders.

Apres Ski

The apres ski scene is very much hotel based. The hotels do have very good facilities though such as bowling alleys, bars and pool tables, swimming pools and spa areas. The food unfortunately is not that great, but the booze is cheap!!
