Ischgl is a world class snowboard resort, although its pricey accomodation puts many off. It is a high altitude snowboarding paradise with extensive off piste, over 230km of pisted runs in the local area alone, and one of the best freestyle parks in Europe.

There are beginner runs for those first timers amongst you, but the area is best known for its excellent all round terrain. There really is something for everyone but the resort is probably most popular with intermediate and advanced riders. There are literally loads of good blue and red runs to cruise all day long. There are also some testing blacks but the back country riding to be found off piste is truly awesome. Well worth taking a guide to maximise your experience and get straight to the best spots.

For the park rats, you will love it here. There is a brilliant park, offering a load of features to hit up. There are also two halfpipes, one of which is floodlit!!

Apres Ski

This is a traditional looking village high in the Paznaun valley offering a very lively apres ski atmosphere. There are many shops, restaurants and plenty of bars and nightclubs to party at late into the night. For those looking to keep active in the evenings, there is ice skating, a leisure centre, bowling, tobogganing and sleigh rides, amongst other things. The resort also hosts regular open air concerts, most of which are free to attend.
