This is a typically Italian town in a sunny area of the Susa Valley, very close to the French border. A ski bus service links both sides of the valley meaning you can get a lot of miles under your board each day. It is a family friendly resort with slopes to suit all abilities, from wide nursery slopes to awesome off piste.

The resort has benefitted from the investment pumped in for the area to host the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. For the freestylers, there is a perfectly cut half pipe and a new board park. For the advanced riders, on piste there are no less than 6 black runs, and the Jafferau area offers some natural mounds and hips to hit, as well as some tracks through the trees.

Lively nightlife will be found in Bardonecchia, where there is always lots going on. Good selection of restaurants and pizzerias with a high standard of grub! If you have any energy left after your day of boarding, there is an ice rink, indoor swimming pool, sports centre and a cinema.
