PISTE FACTS: Longest Run: 7km
Bansko is an ever expanding resort which offers a reasonable variety of runs, particularly suited to beginner and intermediate snowboarders. There is a small lesson area but plenty of wide blue runs to practice linking those turns together.
There are a good selection of wide blue and red runs which are mostly accessed by chair lift. There are also plenty of tree runs off the side of the pistes and some off piste under the chair lifts for the more advanced rider. There is also a decent terrain park which is well maintained, and a halfpipe. This is a good family friendly resort which offers decent snowboarding at an affordable price. Good mountain restaurants which won't break the bank.
The Happy Ending and all the other pubs at the main gondola station are lively at the end of the day. The hotels in Bansko are pretty modern and tend to have good facilities such as pool, spa and wellness facilities, big screens showing sport, table tennis or table football, bars and even nightclubs. The town centre itself is a reasonable size for a ski resort and has an outdoor ice rink, a selection of bars and restaurants, and a casino.
